Four Friends…and a Dream
We’re four friends who have called many different places home… up until now. Our last stop was Cologne, and we lived fully to this city’s heartbeat. But ever since we’ve known each other, we always said that if we ever have children, we'll all move out to the countryside and live together on a farm, with plenty of open space for our children and our dreams to grow and run free. And then in the summer of 2019 we heard about a mill farm built by a stream in the most beautiful valley of the Eifel, with the possibility of creating a very special place not only for us, but also for our visitors and friends. In February 2020, we then seized the opportunity, signed the contract, planned the move, and became immigrant Eifelers.

After 15 years of fulfilling work for an international organization in the field of sustainable agriculture, Schnerschtl is currently a self-employed consultant, and is very happy to be finally doing ‘her own thing’ in Oberpreth.
Mica (Maus)
Full-time role as daughter for DD & Ela, and a source of joy for us all.
Manuela Heine (Ela)
Ela is a natural beautician and physiotherapist, who has worked in various top spas in Germany and Switzerland, where she gathered her ideas for her first own wellness practice here in the Eifel. Treat yourself to a pampering treatment – Ela opened her practice "Mühlenherz" at the end of 2020.
Thorsten Czart (DD)
DD is a sound and cameraman who loves to sit around the campfire in the evenings with his family and friends, in between his trips to the most beautiful places in the world.
Sven Richter
Sven has been running Saarbrucken’s coolest pubs for many years together with his partner Timo. But he’s actually a trained carpenter and is looking forward to working in the Mühle.
